Maurizio Ferraris

Maurizio Ferraris is a philosopher, full professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Turin, and the founder of New Realism. President of the Scienza Nuova Institute and LabOnt (Center for Ontology), he has developed a research trajectory that spans hermeneutics, ontology, and the philosophy of technology, helping to redefine the relationship between reality, documents, and digital transformation.

 

The author of over sixty internationally translated works, he has introduced key concepts such as "documentality" and "documentary capital," offering an original interpretation of contemporary society as a system based on the production and management of traces, data, and relationships.

 

His work is fully aligned with the principles of Slow Finance: a vision in which technology, knowledge, and capital are not tools of extraction, but devices for building shared, lasting, and future-oriented value for communities.
