Slow Finance has been part of the Scienza Nuova Institute's research strands since November 2025, when Matteo Basei Fantolino and Prof. Maurizio Ferraris organized the first conference "New European Data Governance" at the study center at Corso Montevecchio 38, Turin.

Previously, Slow Finance was a special research project led by Matteo Basei Fantolino at the International University College of Turin, with academic tutor Prof. Pier Giuseppe Monateri.
