A New Collaboration: Isola Felice Joins Slow Finance as a Case Study in Regenerative Finance

Some collaborations begin with years of planning. Others begin by chance.

The meeting between Matteo Basei Fantolino, founder of the Slow Finance movement, and Amedeo Martiradonna, founder of Isola Felice, was one of those fortunate encounters that immediately revealed a shared vision: creating long-term value by regenerating places, communities and local economies.

Slow Finance is pleased to announce the start of this collaboration, with Isola Felice becoming a new case study in regenerative finance, rural innovation and territorial regeneration.

Located on the site of a former industrial area, Isola Felice is demonstrating how abandoned spaces can be transformed into productive ecosystems. The project combines land restoration, agricultural reconversion, biodiversity enhancement, and the production of natural honey and artisan goat cheese, creating environmental, social and economic value simultaneously.

Rather than extracting value from the territory, Isola Felice reinvests in it—showing that regeneration can become a viable and sustainable business model.

This collaboration reflects the core principles of Slow Finance: investing in projects that generate not only financial returns, but also ecological resilience, cultural heritage, community well-being and long-term prosperity.
